Being a stay-at-home can be the most exhausting, frustrating, and isolating job on the planet. Sometimes you hate it; Sometimes you love it. Some days you may have all the patience in the world; Some days you’re just waiting to throw a bitch fit. (I’ve shared a few cuss words out loud with adults, who may or may have not deserved it, in a not so nice way … oh…and also in front of my kids.)
Then, there are those moments when you’re mourning the “old you” and your lifestyle before kids; You were probably full of life, looked put together every chance you got, and had tons of energy. You loved hustling and making your own money. So, Some days you want to take your ass back to work because you hate feeling some type of way about spending someone else’s money.
Then comes the mom-guilt ; Then you feel like a complete jackass for the “ungrateful” thoughts you have about being a stay-at-home-mom.
It’s straight up chaos day in and day out and you don’t know how the hell you got through the day, let alone week. And then, and then, and then, and then…the list goes fucking on. It’s purely fucking chaos.
That’s it…motherhood is best described as beautiful chaos.
I’m here to let you know you’re not alone. I’m here to share some women empowerment, laughs, and mom-spiration. I’m here to help bring your groove back, just like Stella. I’m here to make sure you know that I’m not perfect and that you won’t ever be either. And if you for one second think that, Karen down the street is perfect because her house is perfect and kids are well-behaved…I’m sure that’s not 24/7 and I’m sure Karen has some fucked up shit going on in her life that she deals with behind closed doors. I’m here to navigate motherhood together and here to share things that can bring a smile and happiness in to your life.
I’m here to share the good, the bad, and the ugly of motherhood. But most importantly, my 3 goals for this blog are to share:
1. Tips and tricks on how to look good physically, which include workouts you can do, lookbooks, fashion trends, how to look good on a budget, beauty tutorials and hacks, etc.
2. How not to lose your shit, Ways to take care of your mental health, Self-Care Tips, How to decompress and wind down, How to Manage your Time, and related topics.
3. Since you probably don’t have income, I’ll show you ways to save money, budget, share deals, coupons, sales, and most importantly ways to make money at home as a stay-at-home mom.
You can expect at least 2 new posts a week! I may upload more if I have time. You should sign up for my email list to receive notifications of when I post anything new or have a sale! I will never share your information with a 3rd party without asking you!
I’m 20 something, Filipino, and was born in Maui. I was an Army Brat but lived in San Antonio for most of my life. I now live in New York as a stay-at-home mom. My life is currently about having fun and figuring out life with my 2 daughters. I believe in being vulnerable, being of service to others in my own special way ( this blog), and creating a life that I don’t dread waking up to.
I try to create a magical, safe, and loving home for my children. I let their imaginations run free and teach them how to “pretend play” and do lots of arts & projects with them. I believe in reading and speaking to them often. I also believe in letting them stay up a little late on the weekends, having a treat after dinner, and letting them use electronics. I teach them girl power, self-affirmations, and that being a great daughter and sister are the most important roles in their life right now.
I also believe in moms being able to vent without judgment. I believe that moms can have a glass of wine every night if they please. I believe moms can cuss. I believe that moms don’t have to keep the house immaculate even if they do stay-at-home. I believe that they need breaks and contact with other adults often. I believe that moms should be able to follow their dreams. I believe moms have a powerful role in creating a better world. I believe it’s never too late to be better or do better! I believe you are here for a reason 🙂
