The first thing you’re probably thinking is that funmomthings.com doesn’t sound like healthy lifestyle blog, let alone a healthy and fit food blog.

I am a busy mom of 2 very active girls. I love being their mom and making their childhood magical by doing tons of fun and cool things for and with them. I initially started this blog to share inspiration and how to’s with other moms on how to do the same thing.

As much as I enjoy and am passionate about being a mom, I felt like my whole world revolved around them 24/7, especially including this blog. It mostly took away from the fun in projects and creative play-times I would create for them. It took away my undivided attention from them, because I was so focused on sharing every single cool and fun thing I did with them.

I’m equally as passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and bringing my family together to enjoy yummy, but healthy and wholesome meals. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I would say we’re eating healthy 80% of the time.

At home, I mostly cook with gluten-free and dairy-free ingredients due to health concerns in our family. As for myself, I also usually eat lower fat, low sugar, and lower carb meals to help me lose weight. So, you will see a combination of all of those types of recipes on this blog. Healthy and whole-some recipes for your family that are mostly gluten-free, dairy-free, lower carb, lower cal, lower-fat, and/or lower sugar. I also like to write about health related topics, especially related to losing-weight.
